1880 census; NOTE ABOUT 1880 CENSUS: Although Nancy Darby is not listed on the same page as her daughter, Arminda Wilson, She is listed on page 15 as being omitted and corrected on July 6, 1880 and is listed as living in same household as William and Arminda Wilson(listed as mother-in-law to William)
Although I have Charles and Nancy listed as being buried at Fourmile Church in Pickens County, GA, I cannot prove that they are there. Many of the elder family members have said that they were buried there and a few have said they were buried at Sharp Mt. Church in Cherokee County,GA. I have thoroughly investigated both locations, and while there are numerous unmarked graves at both locations, I doubt that they are buried at Sharp Mt. Church. Several of their childern are buried at Fourmile Church with a few graves, marked only with fieldstones, almost in the center of the surrounding children. One set in particular is to the left of James Darby and just behind Reuben Darby(James and Reuben are their sons). None of their children are buried at Sharp Mt. Church. In addition, Fourmile church would be about 6 miles from the estimated location of their home while Sharp Mt. Church woul be approximately 20 miles away. In coclusion, I find it most probable that the two graves behind Reuben W. Darby, at Fourmile Church, to be those of Charles Darby,Jr. and Nancy Biddy Darby.
