He married Anna Kauffman, daughter of Martin and Barbara Stauffer Kauffman, on 18 Sep 1761. Henry 2nd married Anna Catherine Strickler (her parents were Rev. Jacob Strickler and "Barbara" Nancy Kauffman Strickler on 16 Apr 1779. They probably lived most of their married life on the estate of "New Glasgow", near Mole Hill, about four miles from Harrisonburg. Their children: Joseph, b. 11 Feb 1780; Maria, b. 19 Sep 1782; Samuel, b. 17 Dec 1786; Daniel, b. 16 Jan 1789; Christian, b. 13 May 1791; Matthias (Matthew), b. 9 Aug 1792, and Tobias, b. 7 Aug 1794.
Henry died in 1799, near Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., Virginia, and his will was probated there, bequeathing 400 acre Spring Farm tract to his sons John and David, and to his son Henry another tract of 206 acres.
He reportedly was buried in "the Brumbach/k Cemetery at Mole Hill". However, the Dayton Historical and the Rockingham Historical Societies have no knowledge of such a cemetery still existing. Anna Catherine died in 1817, and reportedly, she was also buried there. (From research by Buck)* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Mar 5 2023, 22:54:18 UTC
