About Robert Carll
Robert Carle lived in Scarborough until the 1750s, then moved to Pepperellborough (Saco). Even though he was over 50 at the time, he served in the Revolutionary War circa 1775-1777. Later, he is seen as a head of household in both the 1790 census of Saco, and in the 1800 census. As an elderly man, he moved to Salem, Franklin Co., Maine where his son William was living. He died there on 6 June 1819 in his 96th year of age. [An alternate death date of 16 Dec 1819 is also given.]
