Sarah Bassett was born say 1628 in Plymouth Colony to parents Elizabeth and William Bassett, Sr.[1] William and Elizabeth were present and accounted for in the 1727 Plymouth cattle division, but Sarah was not on this list.

Sarah Bassett married before 6 March 1648/9 Peregrine White,[1] On 6 Mar 1648/9, "Peregrin White, and Sara, his wife, both of Marshfield" were presented to the court for fornication before marriage or contract. They were cleared by paying a fine.[2]

3 June 1652, William Bassett of Duxbury deeded forty acres of upland with the meadow adjoining to his son-in-law Lt. Perigrine White, and 16 June 1656 William made a deed of gift of land in Marshfield to his two sons living in Marshfield, Peregrine White and Nathaniel Bassett. [1][3][4]

Peregrine White of Marshfield left to his wife Sarah everything that was not otherwise disposed of in his will.[5][6]
