About Sgt. Edward Watts Garmonsway, Snr.
"During the Royal New Zealand Fencible voyage on board the barque Inchinnan to New Zealand in 1852, Letitia Ann Garmonsway gave birth to a daughter, but a severe outbreak of measles and chicken pox took the life of another. Letitia had spent many of the previous 21 years giving birth and raising children in the primitive conditions of military barracks. Of her 11 children, five died as new-borns or toddlers. Letitia was my third great grandmother." Read the full biography by Debbie McCauley at this link: https://debbiemccauleyauthor.wordpress.com/biographies/letitia-ann-...
