About Walter Hamilton

"Hamilton, Walter, 1883-1958 Born in Katikati on 5 January 1883, Walter moved to Waverley in South Taranaki where he worked as a farmhand. Walter stayed in the area, moving to Whakamara where was milking by hand an Ayrshire Stud herd of cattle and running a carrying business at the same time. He married Mabel Ruth Wall (1890-1970) in Stratford on 23 September 1908. Walter died at Stratford on 15 November 1958 and was buried in Hāwera Cemetery."
