LOUISIANA PRESS-JOURNAL, Louisiana, Missouri, Thursday, June 19, 1958 W.W. DEWEESE, 83 DIES TUESDAY; FUNERAL FRIDAY

W.W. DeWeese, retired retail store clerk, died at the Pike County Hospital Tuesday afternoon. He had been in failing health for four years and had been a patient in the hospital for two weeks. His last employment was as a clerk in the Temple Stevens store at the corner of Fifth & Georgia St.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.

Warren Wheeler DeWeese was born in Chariton County, Missouri on Nov. 20, 1875, son of Mr. & Mrs. Carter DeWeese. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emily DeWeese; two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Turnbaugh of Kansas City, and Mrs. Wesley White of Louisiana; two sons, Robert and Raymond DeWeese, both of Louisiana; and by three step-children, Mrs. Jack Dryden, Mrs. Johnny Roan, and James Bandy, all of Louisiana. A step-son, Edward Bandy died on Aug. 5, 1957. Another step-son, Charles, the youngest of the family, died while in service during WWII.
