Services for Wilson Tahmahkera, 55, a Walters farmer who died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Comanche Dutch Reformed Church.

Rev. Robert Chaat, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Comanche section of Highland cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral home.

Mr. Tahmahkera was born Feb. 28, 1905 in Cache. He was an elder in the Comanche Dutch Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ida, of Walters; four sons, Monroe, of Fort Worth; Wilson Jr., of Walters; Marvin of San Francisco, and Garrison of Grand Forks, N.D.; one daughter, Mrs. Wilda O'Keefe, of Washington D.C., three step daughters, Richenda Reed, Midwest City; Mrs. Marjorie Pahdopony, Ric. 2, and Mrs. Sophia Mahsetky of Apache; three brothers, Ben. Of Indiahoma; Lewis, of Indiahoma, and Vance, of Fort Worth; his mother, Mrs. Werahre Tahmahkera, Rte. 1, and 16 grandchildren.

Services for Wilson Tahmahkera, 55, a Walters farmer who died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital, were at 10 a.m. Monday in the Comanche Dutch Reformed Church.

Bearers were Bruce Tomah, Mose Poolaw, Frank Mejia, Rev. Dan Grummon, George Kisheton and Lawrence Tomah Jr., all of Walters.

Note: Saturday was Feb 11, 1961 (this date conflicts with his headstone which reads Feb 16, 1961. Obviously his obituary could not be published before he actually died, so the date on his headstone is in error).
