All Dornblasers in the USA (including Dornblazers and Dunblaziers) descend from Christian Gottlieb Dornblaser (b. May 24, 1726). A detailed genealogical study of the Dornblaser family can be found in Vol. 65 No. 1-4 of the American Genealogist published in 1990.

If you are a Dornblazer with a Z, there's a good chance you descend from one of the children of George W. Dornblaser (b. November 28, 1841).

If you are a Dunblazier, you descend from either William Dunblazier (b. May 12, 1801) or Henry Dunblazier (b. 1803).
