My father IS HERMAN L Wilmer, born in 1915 in KENT COUNTY po BOX STILLPOND,MARYLAND, His parents was Davis Wilmer born in 1869, his mother Alverta ( Bertie Brooks) born in 1883, kent county po box Stillpond, Maryland, Davis parents are John H Wilmer born 1820 and Editha( ? ) born 1825 John H Wilmer parents is Jacob Wilmer born 1790,his wife Mary Araminta Brooks born 1800, 5 generations of free people of color.........my question is my grandfather Davis Wilmer married his first wife Lena Brooks who was born 1871,in kent county,Maryland in 1891, they had 5 children, Dola born 1891,Oats born in 1893 female , Davis in 1896, a daughter in 1898 and another son in 1900, Davis and Lena divorced in 1899, because Davis had a child outside his marriage, that son William Wilmer born 1899- 1970 was my father's oldest brother, After the 1900s census Lena Brooks Wilmer and their 5 children disappeared, will be thankful for any inforrmation on Lena Brooks Wilmer and children
