Edward III is supposedly my 19th great grandfather through Aquila Chase and his supposed descendants in US but as most of these royal lines, I think the family links in the century before the great migration, back to royality and the immigrant families going forward almost always rests on some pretty iffy links, so I've found out of about 15 or more lines back to these Plantagenets, maybe only 2 have any validity, I'm wondering if others have had this experience when they really delve into the lines back into the middle ages. I note that the first few descendants from the kings is pretty well documented but then it is wild. For Instance in Gary Boyd Roberts "The Royal Descents of 600immigrants to the Americian Colonies of the United States" to have just about zero families of the 50 or so immigrant families I have in my tree stemming from the Great Migration (for example, Snow, Chase, Convers, Winslow, Webster etc).

The Cheshire families, considering their antiquity, are well documented as you can cross reference them with marriages with other Cheshire families, Welsh families, Scottish families and French families descent from Geoffrey Plantagenet Count of Anjou.
