The goal for this project is to collect all profiles of Danish royality, clean up duplicates and ensure quality of the involved profiles.

The final goal is to keep this project as a nice presentation of the Danish royal line. I think the main goal of this project have been reached. Günther

Den danske kongerække

Den danske kongerække indledes traditionelt med Gorm den Gamle, idet han er den ældste konge, om hvem der foreligger nogenlunde sikre kilder.

The Danish monarchy is over 1000 years old, making it the second oldest continual monarchy in the world still existing today. The first monarch the monarchy can be traced back to is Gorm the Old (d. 958). Originally the monarchy was elective, but in practice the eldest son of the reigning monarch was elected.
