Emily Kent Marget - so I’m up to the 1st wife controversy. Take a look and think how we want to handle it while I disconnect Mrs. Collins from this tree. The Rev’s daughter Elizabeth was named in his Will but nothing further.

BTW I had gotten Mary Johnson off the Baronets Throckmorton the other day, so clearly people have been chasing royalty for years around this tree.

lol.. probably helps to add the @
Billie June Keaffaber
Check out the Lancaster PA Society for info on early immigrants. some good links to other sources. Membership allows greater searching and access to old journal copies. Let me know if you see something you can't get past, and I can search the issues.

https://www.lmhs.org/

Click on quick links at left side brings up alot of info for nonmembers.. Also check each pull down menu along top.

here is a list of part journal articles (many have detailed family genealogies).

Think previous merges caused conflicts around Major Pierre Pierre Guerin, I -

Please check, was going to try to resolve, but many of the birthdates didn't match. for the surrounding double profiles, I couldn't tell if the same.

I did cleanup of Major Pierre ...

Erica Howton - I took a look through Haverhill VR and could not find the birth or marriage of John Collins in the 1630s. John is also not in Haverhill's death records.

I think she may have started from a MH profile that has her marrying John Collins in 1660.

https://members.tripod.com/~DERBYSHIRE_2/PEASLEE8.htm has the will of Joseph Peasley, who died in Salisbury in 1660. (Salisbury VR has Joseph Peasly 3:10m: 1660) The link has her born in England c. 1629 and marrying John Collins. No further mention.

Small issue, but this GEDCOM event was 100ish years after she died, but the profile is completely locked and can't be edited, if a curator would please remove it.

Erica Howton - Continuing from the link, I think Elizabeth should be merged with Elizabeth Colins This Elizabeth Peasley has the incorrect mother.

I don't see anything about this merge that says it was a good merge. https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=68111485310

The issue seems to stem from his father, Captain William E. Montgomery who also seems to have some bad merges, but I think they're too old to undo. He seems to be well sourced, bio only mentions one wife, not three.

The Garner tree seems to have a mismerge or some other issue which created "duplicates" that are NOT duplicates:

https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000118475313234

James Frazier Garner
James Garner are just one example.

Locked to the wrong parents:

Marmaduke Constable - Cut off parents Robert and Margery.

Merge Michael Constable with Michael Constable and cut off parents Robert and Margery.

William Constable born before the birth of his mother and I don't know where he belongs, so I guess just cut him off.

I posted this twice in the general help discussion. Please assist.

Jacob Beeson is also locked to the wrong parents. His mother has been thoroughly researched and she didn't have a son named Jacob.

After he's disconnected, he should be merged with Jacob Beeson, I

Could someone look at this discussion? https://www.geni.com/discussions/236268?msg=1497764

I worry that it will get chopped and merged by someone who doesn't have the tools to do it properly. It may represent two different people or William Henry Richardson may just need cutting from parents and spouse, but the two profiles mentioned should not be merged in their present form, if at all. I am out all day with work events. Will try to get back in this evening. The Richardson family married into the members of the Dimery Settlement. Trying to get this sorted.

I worked last night a bit on the family of Judge Richard Miles

That got me into the Hanford family and some other families.

This work was due to recent merges which among other things messed up the children of Judge Miles, assigning most of them erroneously to the second wife.

I see Marmaduke Constable above and presumably the same merges affected the Constable tree, since the second wife of Judge Miles was the widow of Rev. Marmaduke Constable

Let me know if you find issues or have questions. There are recent findings about the wives and children of Judge Miles, which the tree used to reflect, and which I had to fix it to reflect yesterday.

Also, as I remember there were extra spouses I detached and sons married to a mother.

Does this look like they should be merged? (It’s old tree on the right)

This profile has had a merge with a private profile from the 1600s. William Bland, Sr. There is a tree match that needs work before merging, I think if it is even a good merge. There are absolutely no sources on the profiles in the tree match. Trying to make sense of it.

Susanne Floyd - Bland merge looks fine to me. I’m progressing it.

Agnes Jennings was missed from the previous page. It was actually posted by Karl, and then I commented that it's two sisters-in-law that keep getting merged. I don't know if you can undo merges, or if it's just going to need to be fixed.

Agnes Jennings - I need notes in profiles for who married who.

Thanks, Erica Howton. When it is "private" and has MPs involved, better for the experts. :-)

It’s funny, I always tried to make MPs so that “anyone” could understand and deal with it from there. There must be something else I can do to make it the guide intended.

Probably not, I am just skiddish about doing things to them. The "private" one threw me. You do great.

Erica Howton, I found another issue in the Jennings tree.

Sarah Fowlkes was not married to both of her husbands.

Husband John A. Fowlkes has a DAR record, which states he was married to Sarah c.1730-1797. Their child listed in the DAR record was born in 1747, so Sarah was approximately 17 years old when she was born and she outlived her husband, so no time for a 2nd marriage, and the children to her other husband were born while she was having children and married to John Fowlkes.

I also think this profile should be merged with John, he just has the wrong first name, but the dates seem to match. If you look at his revisions, he was married to her at one point and then disconnected when you were working on the previous Jennings issue. Joseph Fowlkes

Her other husband George Hudson was married to Sarah "Elizabeth" 1729-1807. She is supposedly the child of William Jennings 1702-1800 and Mary Allen 1702-1775. There is no documentation for this, just trees on Ancestry.

This was not a good merge on George, the mothers don't match, except in name only. https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=80593191630

I don't think the first Sarah should have the middle name of Elizabeth, I think this all came about because of a bad merge that's too old to see or undo. If I just create a new Sarah Elizabeth as the wife of George Hudson, she is most likely going to end up being merged again. Would you create a new one and MP her?

I'm looking into Agnes (above) and her two husbands with the same name, but I got sidetracked with this.

I just disconnected Sarah Elizabeth Boaz as the daughter of Agnes Jennings Many online trees show Agnes and William as her parents, but that is incorrect.

Jstor states she is the spouse of John Robertson, which would be this Sarah - Sarah Robertson https://www.jstor.org/stable/4244722?read-now=1&refreqid=excels... page 163

Would you please MP the 1st Sarah and add a comment in the header that she isn't their daughter and also MP and relationship lock the 2nd Sarah?

Correction: Joseph Fowlkes should be merged with Joseph A. Fowlkes The first one isn't connected to the tree, so I can't merge him.

The problems in the Jennings line are never ending.

According to DAR, the husband of Mary Jane Jennings should be William Jennings not the William she's currently with. https://services.dar.org/Public/DAR_Research/search_descendants/?ac...

These two merges were incorrect on William Jennings, Sr. He was only married to Mary Willoughby..

https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=71373815080

https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=80615302750 This one probably just needs the parents corrected and not unmerged, but that's up to you.

Even if I can make some of the changes, like disconnecting parents, I'm asking for curator assistance, because this line is so messed up and it helps to have a 2nd set of eyes, and it seems a little cleaner for a curator to make the more drastic changes.

There are multiple issues in this Byrd/Bird lineage. It looks to me like multiple individual lines (at least two or more) have been merged together as one.

Andrew Thomas Bird, Jr.
