About Albert Smith Hardy
ALBERT HARDY
Albert Hardy, 70, 670 Mansfield Ave., retired employee of the American Smelting and Refining Co., died at his residence after a lingering illness.
He was born in Provo, a son of James and Elizabeth Smith Hardy. He spent his early life in Provo, later moving to Salt Lake County where he was employed by Kennecott Copper Co. five years.
For 30 years Mr. Hardy had been employed by American Smelting and Refining Co. at Garfield prior to his retirement five years ago.
Mr. Hardy had resided in Salt Lake City since 1927. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, attending Springview Ward.
On July 30, 1902, in Provo, he married Emma Keele. She died in May, 1940.
Survivors include two sons, Fay B. Hardy, Salt Lake City and Kenneth A. Hardy, Garfield; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Firman and Mrs. Fern Knight, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Edna Haslam, Huntington Park, California; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Albert Smith Hardy, 70, a twenty year resident, died at his home at 670 Mansfield on December 10, 1948 of congestive failure.
He was predeceased by his wife, Emma Keele Hardy. He was the son of Elizabeth Smith Hardy and James Hardy. He had worked as a repairman for American Smelting and Refining Company.
Interment was made at the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. Deseret Mortuary handled the funeral arrangements.
