"History of Christmas Island Parish" - page #44-45:

Stephen McInnis (Michael) was a blacksmith and farmer. He settled at Shenacadie and became the first post-master of that place. He married Mary, daughter of Jonathan McPhee (Tailor), Issue: — Ann, Catherine, John, Michael, Mary, Lucy, Elizabeth, Ambrose, and Sarah.

Ambrose settled in the old homestead and married a daughter of Donald McKinnon (Neil), of Shenacadie. Issue: — Stephen, Mary Agnes, Flora, and Daniel.
 Stephen is telegraph operator at George’s River.
 Flora is married to a McNeil from Gillis Point, and lives in Sydney.
 Dan is clerk in the CNR freight office, Sydney.

Donald McKinnon (Neil) settled at Shenacadie. He married Flora, daughter of James McSween, of Boisdale.
