Stephen McInnis (Michael) was a blacksmith and farmer. He settled at Shenacadie and became the first post-master of that place. He married Mary, daughter of Jonathan McPhee (Tailor), Issue: — Ann, Catherine, John, Michael, Mary, Lucy, Elizabeth, Ambrose, and Sarah.
Catherine married Stephen M. McKinnon.
Michael McKinnon (Big John) was a fairly good poet. He settled at Shenacadie, and married Sarah Curry, of Glasgow.
Issue: — Mary, John, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Stephen, James, Joseph, Ann, and Neil.
Stephen McKinnon (Michael) was one of the most respected citizens of Shenacadie. He settled on bis father’s estate and married Catherine, daughter of Stephen McInnis.
Issue: — Sarah, Mary Ann, Catherine, John P., James E., Agnes.
Sarah was married to Michael A. McNeil, Big Beach.
Mary Ann married Rory D. McNeil, of Shenacadie.
Catherine married Malcolm McNeil, Glace Bay.
John P. was trackman on the I.C.R. for many years before he became station agent at Shenacadie. He is married to Katie, daughter of Stephen McNeil, Jamesville.
James E. is a merchant in Glace Bay. He is married to a daughter of James D. McNeil, Benacadie East.
Agnes is married to Daniel McNeil, Beaver Cove.
