Stephen McInnis (Michael) was a blacksmith and farmer. He settled at Shenacadie and became the first post-master of that place. He married Mary, daughter of Jonathan McPhee (Tailor), Issue: — Ann, Catherine, John, Michael, Mary, Lucy, Elizabeth, Ambrose, and Sarah.
Ann married Joseph Bryden, Miller.
From page #11 in "History of Christmas Island Parish":
Joseph (Eos Thom) was a miller for nearly fifty years. He was a very obliging man who would not see a person “stuck” if he could help him. A few years before his death, his grist and saw mills at Rear Xmas Island were destroyed by fire; but he replaced the saw mills by others more modern than those destroyed. His first wife was Teresa, daughter of John McMillin of Red Islands.
Issue:— One daughter, Mary Ann, who is married to Michael Farrell of Concord, Mass.
His second wife was Ann, daughter of Stephen Mclnnis, Shenacadie.
Issue: Angus Andrew, Teresa Ann, John J. (Rev.), Sarah Agatha, Mary Lizzie, Mary Sarah and Christie
