Filken-van Beuren homestead

refers to John's direct ancestor Catherine Van Voorhees. This reference implies that John's father, Dr. Henry (or Hendrick) van Beuren also lived on this property. And we might then understand and conclude that Dr. Henry held his Loyalist meetings for Rangers who were to embark for Yorktown at the end of the Revolution.
