Funeral services were held on Sunday in the Wilmington Lutheran church in Arnegard for Iver I. Arnegard, who passed away Wednesday, May 17th, at his home at Arnegard. He had been ill for the past three years.
Rev Milo Engelstad of Watford City officiated at the final rites. Robert Staley and Clarence Leiseth sang several songs. Mrs. Clarence Leiseth presided at the organ. Pallbearers were: Melvin Johnson, Carl Evansen, John Sovig, Arthur Moen, Peter Bjargemanen and Hans Holter.
Iver I. Arnegard was born in Mayville, ND, Sept. 26, 1882, and it was at Mayville that he was raised and received his education. He was married June 30, 1905 at Bull Flat to Clara Strom, and they made their home on his homestead. The village of Arnegard was named after Mr. Arnegard.
Survivors are his wife, Clara; one daughter: Mrs. E. Oberg of Glenburn; one son: Melvin of Arnegard; two sisters: Mrs. Marie Strom of Mayville and Mrs. Julia Smalladen of Aneta; Two brothers: Arven and Oscar, both of Arnegard; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
