About John Henry Wolfe, Jr.
John Henry Jr. Wolfe was the son of John Henry Wolf Sr. and Mary Russell. Only 4 of his 10 children made it into adulthood. He was a farmer his entire life. In 1879, He married Christina Ann Dull "Ann" or "Anna" she went by. John changed the spelling of his last name Wolf to Wolfe, he added an E because he didn't want his last name to be the same as the animal, wolf.
((The information on him adding the "E" for that reason was given to me by his granddaughter, who is a very good source. His father's as above John Wolf did not have an "E", hense the reasoning I am saying he added it. Some seem to be confused by what I meant by this. He started our line of Wolfe's which they all have the same spelling to this day - they did not go back to Wolf. Some of his siblings changed theirs by adding an "e" as well. I never meant for anyone to think that he started it all by adding an "E".))
