Katherine Abbot

Biography

Catherine Abbott (Hoblit) was born circa 1777-80 at Westmoreland, Pa. to Johannes Michael Hablutzel and Anna Katrina "Caty" (Van Weigal)

Catherine married William Abbott January 17,1798. Permission for the ceremony was granted by her mother, Caty Hoblit; her brother- in-law Timothy Bennett  was the bondsman.

William and Catherine would raise a large family of nine boys and 2 girls on their farm located near Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Catherine died Oct. 4, 1844 at Woodford, Kentucky.
