Biography

Nathaniel Baldwin, son of John Baldwin, was baptized by Rev. Peter Prudden in Milford, New Haven Colony, in 1648. He was admitted to the church on 19 Mar 1648.<ref>Connecticut: Vital Records (The Barbour Collection), 1630-1870, Milford, p. 13 (accessed 11 Sep 2017).</ref> Hewas probably an adult at the time he was baptized, since he was admitted to the church, probably at the same time.
There is no evidence in these transcripts of the Connecticut records that Nathaniel had a middle name. "Cooper" may have referred to his trade. Nathaniel died on 16 Jan 1671, probably in Milford.<ref>Connecticut:Vital Records (The Barbour Collection), 1630-1870, Milford, p. 13 (accessed 11 Sep 2017).</ref>
