Tuesday, November 26, 1968 -- Mrs. Rose Kessler died at the Tower Park Nursing Home (1320 High Avenue West, Oskaloosa, IA) Monday at the age of 89. The daughter of Luke and Alice Martin Lukes, she was born October 27, 1879 in London, England. She is the widow of Charles Kessler. Survivors include a son, Robert Kessler of Evanston, Illinois; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margie Lukes of Oskaloosa. Funeral services will be in Newman Funeral Chapel, Wednesday at 1pm. The Rev. Dr. Merrill Summerbell of the Central United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Forest Cemetery. The family will be at Newman Funeral Chapel Tuesday evening.
