Funeral services for Mrs. Malona Knight Williamson, 75, of Normantown, who died Friday in an Augusta hospital following an extended illness, were held from the chapel of the Cooper Funeral Home Sunday afternoon. The officiating ministers were the Rev. James E. Boyd and the Rev. Joel Roberson. Interment followed in the Knight Cemetery in Montgomery County.
Nephews, serving as active pallbearers, were: Bruce Hamilton, Odette Clark, Edwin Mathias, Gibbs Johnson, J.C. Morris, and Julian Clark.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Allene Rowland of Savannah and Mrs. Inez Mixon of Vidalia; four sons, Elton, N.A., and Aaron Williamson, all of Port Arthur, Texas and Thaddaus Williamson of Vidalia; four sisters, Mrs. Sib Clark and Mrs. B. Mathias of Vidalia, Mrs. Mark L. Lamb of Wadley and Mrs. Ben Yarborough of Miami; 17 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
