Thaddaus Larry Williamson

Thad Williamson, 76, of 3205 Sylvester Road died Thursday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital following an illness.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Walden Chapel of First United Methodist Church and burial at 3 p.m. at Norman Williamson Cemetery in Toombs County. Dr. Donald M. Kea and the Revs. Cindy Autry and George Zorn will officiate at the funeral service and the Rev. Randall Callahan will officiate at the burial service.

A native of Toombs County, Mr. Williamson lived in Albany for 10 years. He was a retired supervisor with Southern Railway. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Williamson of Albany; five daughters, Helen Connell, Elaine Trull, Debbie Nabb, Carol Williamson and Karon Poole, all of Vidalia; two sons, Edward Williamson of Vidalia and Larry Williamson of Uvalda; two stepdaughters, Helen Cook of Lakeland and Rebecca Gilliland of Hahira; a stepson, Dan Daniell of Albany; four sisters, Allene Rowland of Savannah, Inez Mixon of Athens, Genese Sapp of Claxton and Bernice Jackson of Vidalia; two brothers, H.L. Williamson and Guyton Williamson, both of Vidalia, 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
