According to the "Sefer Serock", Berish was a man of letters and a public worker who lived in Warsaw. Moshe Evenary disputes this, saying that he was an artisan, not a man of letters.
According to Neil Rosenstein, Dov Berish was a Warsaw printer who compiled a perpetual Jewish calendar. ("The Unbroken Chain", 1990 version, Ch IV, Pg 248)
According to the Jewish Records Indexing - Poland, Berish lived at Grzybowska 8 m. 5, Warsaw. He was married. He died of a myocarditis in the Warsaw Ghetto.
