Extracting Wildman records in Ingelton Parish
- Ingleton-ChapLeDale
- the mark indicates that there is a will available in the link known as " Voices of the Past ", an assemblage of Wills.
introduction
From the Wildman standpoint: The early years of this set of parish records is populated largely by descendants of Richard Wildman de Caldcote. Caldcotes, or Cold Cotes as it appears on googlemaps these days remains a small farming community to the south west of Ingleton. It is only 2.5 miles out of town (54.135840, -2.435997).
Other nearby communities include Thornton-In-Lonsdale, Clapham, and Bentham. Many neighboring communities have their own parish registers and as a result there are cases where individuals in one parish have records in another.
