The main reason that I share this with you is to give you some keys and research ideas because if you are related to me, then some of my ancestors are also yours!

More specifically, I'm a direct descendant of Noble ancestors. Norwegians, Swedes and Normans, as well as the Franks, so I'm forcibly linked to England because of the Normans on my mother's side, not to mention that I have many direct ancestors from the Capetian Dynasty and that I've discovered a lot of Spanish ancestors.
Also, I'm also a direct descendant Noble ancestors from the Merovingian Dynasty, the Plantagenêt Dynasty, especially on my father's side. Speaking of the Merovingian dynasty I descend directly from the Knights Templar (according to Geni ok? so please don't argue with me) including a great-grandfather and three great-great-uncles and a few others less directly on my father's side.
(speaking of the Plantagenêt Dynasty, you might find this post interesting:
Plantagenêt, where this word is REALLY coming from?
https://www.geni.com/discussions/278957 )
Thus, covering a lot of territory.

Now for those who question my abilities of research, here it is. My #1 passion in life is research and I happen to be trained as a researcher. I've made an essay of empirical nature at Université Laval as part of my Master's degree in psychology, so I'm necessarily trained in intensive research. I have other passions of course, but they are not related to research intrinsically.

This above being said,

Before going ahead, I will take the time to particularly thank those who somewhat helped me in my research of my ancestors. (if you continue to read, you will know how I was helped by them) The order does not represent the amount of help received. And how I received the help is by simply seriously considering them so you might want to consider my research.

This is not an exhaustive list so I might add others later on. I basically am helping people because I was helped by other projects so I'm returning the favor. The same way I discovered Spanish ancestors I was not even suspecting, the same way you will find ancestors you did not suspect and this, I ASSURE YOU so please help yourself by going through the profiles I am adding to this project. So I won't lie to you, if you study all those projects aforementioned, (42 of them I believe so far) you will find many of your noble ancestors from many countries and dynasties. If you want to do so, please proceed I don't mind either way, (your choice) though I must tell you that I know more than one language and I master two (2) of them, which sure does help.

  • ****In other words, this project is so to speak a shortcut to save you hours upon hours of going though all the projects I went through intensively myself.*****

How I proceeded personally before landing on Geni, I traced my ancestors on both sides up to 1600's and unfortunately, I believed at the time that we couldn't go any further because we were crossing the Atlantic, right? How wrong I was, thanks to the Geni system to correct me. And then I've been working for years to know my ancestors before being able to find them here until around the year 300.
Geni c’est génial! / Geni it’s great!

Cheers Fam!

p.s. I will start another project and I might accept to collaborate there. (I will think about it...)

Note: I decided to put "Nobility" instead of "Royalty" in my title since all Norwegian Kings were not "royalty" but chieftains and had clans. Not to mention the Templar were not Royals either but they were certainly powerful nonetheless. Which means what I had in mind was royalty in a broader sense i.e. directly connected to royalty. Thus, I suppose everybody having enough power to be remembered for centuries if not millennials is considered in the domain of royal circles (aka Nobility) more specifically.

Second note: the previous title was: "Nobility in Norwegians, Swedes, Normans, Merovingians, Plantagenet, Franks, Capetians (Spanish); Saxons (including Scottish); ... & the Templars Families"
