Medley Name Meaning

In 1995 when the book John medley 1615-1660 came out their was much controversy over John Medley, particularly him and his ancestors. Some inconsistencies include that John in Maryland was a Catholic, John in Elland was a protestant, ( That dosent mean he may not have converted) also John in Maryland was illeterate, yet the father of John in Elland was the parish clerk, and therefore had to be literate, and one would suspect his children would have also been literate. That means that to prove his ancestors dating back to the late 1100s we need a DIRECT PATERNAL DESCENDANT to take YDNA from ANCESTRY.COM. If you contact me their is already a DNA website of people who have YDNA tested on ancestry.com that are descended from other branches of Medley/ De Methley. If you are one or know one I beg you to take it to find out the 400 year old question. WHO IS JOHN MEDLEY?

Thanks and hope you consider taking the test. P.S. THE ANCESTRY.com YDNA NOT AUTOSOMAL
