GENDER MISTAKE

https://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000091616178823

Jozsef Pless / Plesz was married to Katalin / Katharina Proznitz
Karl / Karoly Trebitz was also married to Katalin / Katharina Proznitz

Unfortunately a previous researcher married Katalin to Katalin rather than her other husband (making one Katalin male)
After correcting the gender error, Geni still considers Katalin as the male partner of herself and rejects the merge.
Can someone please correct this?

Thank you Private User.

Private User I have sorted it for you. Only the data conflicts still to sort for Katharina Trebits - Pless .

Jan Martin Strand

Jan Martin Strand died in february 2021, he is my mother's first cousin.
I contacted the managers and asked them to mark him as deceased. But the managers of this profile don't seem to be active. Can someone please assist me to make his profile open?

If he is your mother's first cousin you should have full access yourself, unless it is a user profile.

Anyhow, use the Report/Deceased action in the Actions menu on the profile.

The merge appears to be correct
(ie Geni matches to https://www.genealogieonline.nl/en/genealogy-harssema/I112148.php)

Why do you think it is incorrect?

Leanne M (Volunteer Curator - Australia) 🇦🇺

the first names were different and I was going to research it further. The only place the mother is listed as Aaltje is on the marriage certificate. Leave it merged and I will finish merging the rest.

Thank you

Belinda

I really appreciate your help undoing a couple of wrong merges earlier. In the first one, the trees have been connected by several wrong merges and it is completely wrong. Practically everything Egon Secher has merged, changed and added is wrong, in most instances obvious wrong, and I would very much like if you could completely disconnect his tree from mine. I don´t think I have a complete overview, but here is a wrong merge and a wrong son added by that merge.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,

Dan Peter Christensen , I have undone two of the faulty merges, but now we need more details from you about these two profiles: Lars Hansen and Lars Hansen who are both still connected to Karen Larsen as her husbands. Once we have information to indicate which Lars Hansen of the two was really her husband, we can move forward to cancel more mistakes.

I have no knowledge of Karen Hansen (Pedersdatter) as she is not supposed to be on my tree, but I do know which one is not her husband.
This is my fourth great grandfather
Right: www.geni.com/people/Lars-Hansen/6000000009656497066
He was married twice. These two profiles are not his spouses:
Wrong: www.geni.com/people/Lars-Hansen/6000000030945672873
Wrong: www.geni.com/people/Karen-Hansen-Pedersdatter/6000000030945714906
And this profile is not his child:

Hi, anyone

I don't know that this field are appropriate place to subject, but I have a question.

Does anyone know if geni has the appropriate software shell/API for possible integration with other programs by outside?

For example, you want to use the link to the profile to get the values of the field "Name", "surname", "date of birth", etc and paste for exampleits to another program, for example, to Excel table. (Of course without a possibilities to change values of field by outside - only to read and paste it to other program)

Simply: link to http://www.geni.com/people/John-Dow/666&get Surname_field&get Birth Date DD:MM:YY* or such may get value of surname or Birth Date (in DD:MM:YY format) by this profile... Or so on...

You can use this options to get information from site.

I'm nearly sure that some API possibly exists (even for debug site and it's code by programmers), but may be not documented.
But if this documented - it can be good thing to now and use it, if possible.

Thanks

Re https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=81457704880

I believe they are the same person

Record matches on MH that I have put on the About at Antje Pieters Krambeek show her name transcribed as Antje in three records.

These include the birth of a daughter

Antje Pieters Krambeek
Netherlands, Civil Births, 1811-1915
Relation: Mother of child
Child: Jantje Jans Rot
Birth of child: Feb 17 1835 - Garnwerd Gem. Ezinge
Husband: Jan Mennes Rot

---

Meanwhile https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QL5K-NWZX shows a transcribed marriage record for that same daughter with the bride's mother's name shown as Aaltje

Good night,

Could a curator please complete this merge

https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000179937166821

And also nearby merges.

Thank you very much!

Felipe González de Otoya De Narváez, it looks like you just sent your request to the other manager today. They're an active user, so let's please give them a chance to respond first.

Please unmerge Grazia Gatt

Can a curator merge Private Private and Private ? Thank you.

Private User

Done, please check.

Could someone please complete the requested merge on Ernest Lee Hewett and Private.

Curators,

Please reverse this following merge:

https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=81463305250

Upon closer examination, it may be two brothers with same name, first one dying before second one was born.

Thanks;
Bernard
