Anson Susskind

Anson was born Anselm Susskind in Tarnow, Austria Hungary on March 19, 1878. He was named on March 26, 1878. He was born and named at house # 75 in the city of Tarnow. He immigrated on the SS Lessing leaving Hamburg July 1, 1885. According to the 1910 Census, Anson was married to Yetta. They lived with her parents, Solomon Krancer age 62 and Hannah Krancer age 55 and there son Isaac age 3 years. Solomon and Anson worked as merchants in Dry Goods Store (H. Krancers). They lived together at 7 Richmond Turnpike (renamed Victory Blvd in 1918). According to the 1940 US Census, Anson Susskind, age 61 years was the proprietor of retail dry goods store. He was married to Yetta Susskind age 57. They lived with son Issac age 33, a lawyer with his own office, son Arthur age 29, a medical doctor and son Alfred, age 29 who owned a dry fuel oil business. They lived at 49 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY. They lived at same address 1950US Social Security Applications and Claims lists his birthday at May 26, 1878
