In the 1930 Census, Louis was 46 years old. he lived with is wife Lena (age 38) and daughter Adele (age 14) at 10-16 Osborne Terrace, Newark (Apt. building still present in Google Earth photo, 2016). According to 1940 Census, Louis Susskind, age since age 56, from Austria, lived at 29 Shanley Ave, Newark (private house, still present as of 2016), with wife, Lena age 49 years (b. 1891). Lena was born in New Jersey. Louis was listed as merchant for men's clothing store. There were no children listed in this residence. A 1917 Newark Directory of businesses listed Louis Susskind at 235 Springfield Ave. Volume 62 of the American Printer and Lithographs magazine quoted, "The Peerless Press moved from 98 Market Street to 235 Springfield Ave. In the 1950 US Federal Census, Louis and Lena were listed as living in Apt. 43 at 860 South 11th Street, Newark (off Clinton Ave, one block from former Temple B'Nai Abraham).
