Brief Life History of David Knobel
When David Knobel was born on 4 October 1831, in Alt St. Johann, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, his father, David Knobel, was 49, and his mother, Anna Barbara Schiesser, was 43. He married Salome Marti on 19 October 1852, in Alt St. Johann, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 1 daughter. He immigrated to Norway in c1857 and lived in Rygge, Østfold, Norway for about 35 years. He died on 16 February 1914, at the age of 82.
