Daughter of John & Hope (Howland) Chipman, her maternal grandparents were John Howland & his wife Elizabeth Tilley both passengers on The Mayflower, 1620.

Biography ==Hope Chipman was the daughter of Chipman-40|John Chipman and Howland-22|Hope Howland. She was born 31 Aug 1652 at Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts, died at Middleboro, Massachusetts on 25 or 26 Jul1728,<ref> Lainhart, Ann Smith, Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Volume 23, Part 1, Family of John Howland, General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Plymouth, MA., 2004 </ref> and was buried in Cobb Lot, Middleboro.
Hope married first Huckins-14|John Huckins on 10 Aug 1670. The children of this couple were Huckins-82|Elizabeth Huckins, Huckins-83|Mary Huckins, Huckins-84|Experience Huckins, Huckins-85|John Huckins, Huckins-81|Hope Huckins, and Huckins-86|Mehitable Huckins.<ref name=Payne>Pane Joyce Genealogy : Family of Hope Howland(1864) & Eld. After John Huckins died, Hope (Chipman) Huckins married Cobb-87|Jonathan Cobb on 1Mar 1683.
