BESTE-LAUSE NUPTIALS
The marriage of Miss Irene Beste, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Beste of Krakow, and Felix Lause, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lause of Union, took place Saturday morning September 4, 1943, at 9 o'clock, at the St. Gertrude church. Rev.B. F. Schaffer, the church pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted to the alter by her father who gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of white tulle with a sweetheart neckline, lace yoke and long sleeves, which were puffed at the shoulder and ended in a point over the hand. A row of small covered buttons ornamented the back from the neck to the waistline. The full skirt terminated in a long train. Her double veil of tulle which also had a long train, was trimmed in lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white lilies and lilies of the valley.
The bridesmaid, Miss Elizabeth Nieder, a close friend of the bride, wore a lite blue taffeta gown. The dress was trimmed with pink rose buds. Her headdress and bouquet were also pink rose buds.
Bernard Lause, brother of the groom was his only attendant.
The wedding breakfast was served at the Catholic parsonage. The dinner and supper were given by the brides parents.
