Janet Dunlop, here treated, is the daughter of James Dunlop of Garnkirk. She was born before 18 April 1701, the date upon which her baptism was registered at Cadder in Lanarkshire, Scotland. Her mother's name is not mentioned in her baptismal record but it is supposed that she was a daughter of Lilias Campbell.
