ELIZABETH DUNLOP primus
Elizabeth Dunlop, primus, here treated, is the daughter of John Dunlop of Garnkirk, younger, and his wife Lillias Campbell. She is reported to have been born on 18 June 1692. [Newsletter of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Family History Society, No. 47 Autumn 1996, p. 13] She was probably born at Glasgow in Lanarkshire, Scotland, for that is where her baptism was registered on 3 July 1692. Her baptism was witnessed by both her grandfathers, Master James Dunlop of Garnkirk, Solicitor and Merchant in Glasgow and Robert Campbell of North Woodside and her uncle John Rae of Little Govan, merchant The baptismal record reads as follows: "James Dunlop yor of Garnkirk and Lillias Campbell a lawll daughter Elizabeth Witness James Dunlop elder of Garnkirk Rot Campbell & John Rae". Death
A date of death has not been identified for Elizabeth Dunlop, primus, here treated, but she probably died before 8 November 1698, the date upon which the baptism of her younger sister of the same name was registered at Cadder in Lanarkshire, Scotland [National Records of Scotland, Cadder Baptisms, 1662-1743, reference OPR.626/1]
