Biography
Nathaniel Williams, son of Mayflower descendant Elizabeth (Rogers) Williams and her husband Nathaniel Williams, was born April 9 or 29, 1679 in Taunton, Massachusetts.[1][2]
He married Lydia King, January 9, 1709/10.[2] Where? She survived him and married a second time to John Macomber of Taunton.[3]
Nathaniel, father of Edmund, died in Taunton August 24, 1726 "ae 47 in April".[4]
Will: Dated 23 Aug 1726, probated 21 Feb 1726 (O.S.) which is 4 March 1727 (N.S.) Nathaniel Williams of Taunton; to wife Lydia Williams, children: Edmund, Nathaniel, Lydia, Bethia, Judah, & Elizabeth. Lydia named executrix.[3]

Nathaniel Williams of Taunton made his will 23 August 1726 and it was probated Tuesday 2 February 1726 Old Style that is Tuesday 4 March 1727 according to New Style dating. His son Nathaniel Williams of Raynham made his will 24 May 1775 and it was probated 5 June 1775.
We here print exhaustive abstracts of the two wills and of all records and original papers on file relating to the settlement of the two estates found in the Bristol County Mass Registry of Probate We also print exhaustive abstracts of certain deeds recorded in the Bristol County Mass Registry of Deeds which prove that the widow Lydia King Williams married again and survived her second husband and prove the marriages of her daughters Lydia Bethia and Judith. The marriage of the fourth daughter Elizabeth to Henry Pitts Jr of Dighton is proved by original papers of Elizabeth's brother Edmund Williams owned by the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants.

To my beloved wife Lydia williams I give halfe the Income of my whole estate during her life time
To my two sons Edmund williams & Nathaniel williams I give all my homelands they not to hinder my wife of her Incomes above Expressed
To all my children namely Edmund Nathaniel Lydia Bethia Judah & Elisabeth I give all the rest of my estate real & personal out lands & moveab les Equally divided between them
my beloved wife Lydia to be sole Executrix
The will was signed Nath Williams The witnesses were Ebenezer Campbel by a mark Ebenr williams and Hanh williams
On 21 February I726 the will was probated on the testimony of Ebenezer Campbel and Ebenezer Williams two of the witnesses who swore that Hannah Williams was also a witness. [The will was also recorded, 5:350.]
From original document On 16 December 1726 John King Jacob Hall and Ebenezer Williams took the inventory The real estate was a house & homestead about 100 acres 750 land at stoney ware about 40 acres 140 land at Cotley about 32 acres 32 2s 6d land in ye pine swamp 6 105 land lying between long plain & Rock plain 85 acres 170 land between tareall and Rock plain 61 acres 122
Lydia Williams the executrix made oath to the inventory 21 February 1726 A note at the bottom of the sheet reads not to be Recorded Till y Certifcate Comes _ The inventory was also recorded 5:377
