MRS. PERMELIA JONES IS DEAD AT WALDRON Heart Trouble Is Fatal to Widely Known County Resident
Mrs. Permelia Jones, age seventy-nine, died at 10:15 a.m. today [actually Jan.8] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Lemmons, of Waldron. Her death was due to heart trouble and followed six weeks illness.
Funeral arrangements have not been made but will be announced Monday by Charles M. Ewing, funeral director.
Mrs. Jones was the widow of Amos L. Jones who died August 19, 1913. She is survived by three sons, Austin, of St. Paul, Claude and Forrest, of Waldron; a daughter, Mrs. Zola Lemmons, at whose home she died; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wolverton, of St. Paul; and three brothers, Lon Dodds, of south of Waldron, Charles Dodds of Wheatland, Wyo. and Amos Dodds of St. Paul.
Mrs. Jones was a charter member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of St. Paul.

FUNERAL HELD--Service Conducted for Mrs. Permelia Jones
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Wesleyan Methodist church, southwest of St. Paul, for Mrs. Permelia Jones, 79, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Lemmons, in Waldron on Saturday [Jan. 8]. The Rev. L.W. Bean, pastor of the Waldron Baptist Church, officiated and was assisted by the Rev. G.W. Fields. Interment was in the Copeland [should be Jones] Cemetery in charge of Charles M. Ewing, funeral director. Short services were held at the home this morning. [Survivors listed as in above obituary]
