About Wilhelmina Fallow

Wilhelmina "Mickey" Fallow, 75, of Davenport died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998 at Genesis Medical Center following an extended cancer related illness.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ridgeview Park Presbyterian Church in Davenport. Arrangements were made by the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport.

Mickey was the daughter of Peter E. and Wilhelmina (Kleinwolterink) De Vries of Sioux County. She was a graduate of Sioux Center High School and attended Northwestern College in Orange City.

During World War II she worked at defense plants. She was employed by the Davenport Lutheran Home for IS years in the dietary department until she retired.

In 1951 Mickey married Richard Fallow.

She was active in church work, having served as a deacon. For many years she supervised the church's local food pantry in conjunction with the Churches United of the Quad City area. She was also a volunteer with various union programs sponsored by the Quad City Federation of Labor AFL-CIO.

She was an active Democrat, having served as a precinct 82 committee person and campaign worker. Over the years she also served in that precinct as an election judge.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jean Fallow and her husband Michael deBlois of Arlington, VA, Bobbie and her husband Norman Fersch of Dixon, and Renee and her husband Raymond Conklin of Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Clarine Westra of Orange City and Hattie De Groot of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Peter De Vries of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Aaron Klugger and Trey Fersch; and two stepgrandchildren, Alissa Conklin and Matthew Conklin.

Memorials may be given to Ridgeview Park Presbyterian Church, Ridgeview Drive and Northwest Blvd., Davenport, Iowa 52806.
