Winifred Van Muyden

Winifred Van Muyden, 74, of Sioux Center died Friday, June 16, 1995 in Sioux Center.

Services were held at 10:30a.m. Tuesday at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Arnold Punt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Sioux Center.

Winifred was born June 2, 1921 in Orange City, the daughter of Peter and Minnie (Kleinwolterink) De Vries.

On Feb. 13, 1943 she married Marvin Van Muyden in Mineral Wells, Tex. He died Aug. 3, 1994. She was a housekeeper for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Larry LaRue and his wife Donna, and Ward J. Van Muyden, all of Sioux Center; a daughter, Zell Rae De Bruin of Sioux Center; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; fi ve sisters, Arta Huisman and Dena Yonker, both of Orange City; Hattie De Groot of Denver, Colo.; Clarine Westra of Orange City, and Wilmina Fallow of Davenport; and a brother, Pete De Vries of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Johanna De Beer; three brothers, John, Herman and Bert De Vries, and a grandchild.
