There are a number of Butler entries listed in “Genealogical Institute of SA, Stellenbosch, 2012 South African Family Registers (SAF) CD v 5” starting on page 603

Additionally there are numerous Death Notices (DNs) for people who were born outside South Africa.

The main purpose of his project is to establish the progenitor Butler trees (i.e. those who went to South Africa from another country) and try to link some profiles as yet not linked to any main tree. It would be good to establish accurate trees for this family name. Once settlers have been added and their dates of arrival in South Africa have been established it will be possible to add a number to the SV/PROG title.
