Griggs name came from Crowland England John Griggs and Mary Griggs (Arch) were the parents of Samuel Griggs who came to Australia around 1850 . Samuel married Julia White/Whyte from Galway Ireland they had four children John, Mary Jane, Annie and Samuel Griggs. Samuel senior,Julia and there two adult children Mary Jane and Samuel came over to the West in 1900, Julia died 9days after they arrived Sam senior died in 1916.
