- Christiana (Hibbert) Brown (1590 - 1641) As a widow, she emigrated with her sons to Salisbury, Massachusetts, which was named after their birthplace in Salisbury, Wiltshire. She was given lots in the 1st land division of the new settlement - the 1st & only woman in New England history to do so.
- David Vines (1760 - 1830) was born in Brinkworth, Wiltshire. He is the GGG Grandfather of Henry Ellsworth Vines, Jr. (1911 - 1994) (born in California, USA) who won the Wimbledon singles tennis championship in 1932

- James Rideout (1801-1878) Arrived in Australia 3 Oct 1838. He travelled to Australia on the "John McLellan" with his wife, Caroline and their children William, Jasper, Martha, Mary and John (who was born on the voyage). Departure date was 2 June 1838
