The group of Chuds and families called Torma may descend from one of the sons of Harold Haarfager to a Same woman called Guttorm .
His name may be a composure of Gud and Torem in German and Ugrian languages respectively , of which the latter might have been the original dialect of some Lapponian tribes ,both meaning Good or God . Although Torem may also be a composure of Tuw-Orem menaing Beyond-Time or Beyond-Sky .
Torem-Maa therefore is God-Land adn might have referred through migrations also to later Gud(as) what is now called Belarus in the language locally in use .
Guttorm though might have been much earlier in use in Scandinavia and might be a sign of earlier mixture of Ugrians and Germans .
