Hannah Robke, Free Settler “Lady Kenway” 1841

Harriet Manuel was born in 1840 at Dorsetshire, Almer, England and died on 13th December, 1886 at Uralla, New South Wales, Australia aged 46. Her parent's are William & Eliza nee Shepherd.

In Gostwyck on the 13th June, 1859, Harriet married her first husband, Charles Rees, who was a Welsh storekeeper at Rocky River and he died in 1872.

Harriet & Charles had 6 children together and all were born at Uralla. They are as follows:

1. Fanny born 23/08/1860

2. Charles born 06/09/1861

3. Henry born 26/08/1863

4. Ada born 24/09/1865

5. Clara born 04/09/1869

6. Sidney born 05/10/1871

Harriet's second marriage to Henry Robke was in Armidale, New South Wales in 1873. Henry was a Hotelkeeper at Uralla and died on the 13th June, 1887.

They had 4 children together, they are as follows:

1. Hannah born 03/08/1879

2. Madglena born 23/09/1879

3. Otto and Frederick

Both Harriet and Henry died 1886/1887 leaving their children orphans. madglena was cared for by her half sister, Ada Rees.
