Oscar Knudson

Alma continued her recollections of the family nameing Oscar as the fourth born on May 2, 1879 and he died on March 21, 1918. He was 39 years old.

Alma recalls Oscar as the light hearted one. He was part of the family band and played the tuba. Oacar was the shortest of the boys and he stood five feet ten inches tall.

In 1900 Oacar went to Florida where he joined Carl. When he returned,Oscar married Sarah Becker on Nov. 21, 1902 and they had ffive children, Luella who preceeded him in death when she was two years old, then there was Carl, Paethel, Gladys and Woodrow.

In 1918 there came the great flu epidemic and it took Oscar who succumbed on March 21, 1918.
