Emil Harold Knudson

Alma continued to write about her family and identified Emil as the third born. His birthday was August 14, 1877 and he died on March 24, 1967 at age of 90.

Emil was a part of the family band and he played the slide trombone. Emil went to Detroit Lakes High School. In 1910 Emil joined Ivan, Alf and Ingvald in presenting mother and father with a piano.

Emil had an urge to be a cowboy and liked to ride horses and in 1895 he went to Montana where he worked as a cowboy on a large ranch. He later worked as a clerk in a mens store and still later he bought a grocery store. At his retirement he went into the tobacco business in Miles City, Montana.
