Project organizing page for Erica Howton, Geni volunteer curator. Projects noted are not necessarily ones I started nor do they include all I've started.
Why Geni projects?
Geni's profiles & trees are very good, they have depth to them (documents, galleries, timelines ...). But they still don't provide full dimensionality of the people I connect to in this one World Family Tree. What I've found is that by adding attributes as reflected in someone's biography, we can all learn so much more about their lives and times.
For example, my earliest proven Howton ancestor, Jonathan Howton. The family story is that he stowed away as a teenager from England to America. I don't know if it's true or not, but by collecting "stowaway" profiles into a project, maybe we'll find the common threads between them. And now I am also inspired to find more projects for him; he had triplet daughters so here we go .... Triplets
May these projects inspire yours. Collaborators and contributors are always welcome.
