Harned officiating, and the remains were interred in Baldwin Cemetery. The deceased leaves the husband and ten children, four sons and six daughters, to grieve her departure to the spirit world. She was all that is noble as a wife, mother and neighbor. May the Great Comforter sustain the bereaved relatives during their severe trials.
Adams County Free Press Corning, Iowa February 9, 1894 ---Died - On February 1, 1894 at her home in Douglas township, Adams County, Iowa. Mrs. Nancy Emmeline Lawrence, after a short illness. Nancy E. Strait was born January 8, 1851, in Ohio. ---She was the youngest daughter of Jacob and Sarah Strait. Was married on December 22, 1876 in this county. A husband and ten children are left to mourn the loss of a good wife and an affectionate mother. The services were conducted by Rev. Harned. Interment in the Baldwin Cemetery.
